Ponds and other impounded water are a common feature on landscapes across the World and are utilized for a variety of ecosystem and human benefit. Modern development and cultural practices often involve the altering of landscapes in terms of water movement and landscape function. I hope this website provides some education and inspiration towards the sustainability and enjoyment of these landscapes.

The decisions we make when managing our water resources have ripple-like effects on the local stream, nearest river and even the far distant oceans. If enough local watersheds can be improved, the benefits will flow across larger and larger landscapes and the Worlds water resource as a whole can improve, little by little.
